Police have arrested 25-year-old Robert Dennis, of Carbondale, and charged him with felony concealment of a homicidal death. He is currently being held in the Jackson County Jail.

Police and firefighters found the badly burned body of Robin Stief on August 30, after responding to reports of a fire in the woods behind the Midas shop in Carbondale.

Stief, who formerly lived in Salem, had been reported missing just days earlier by her family.

Dennis is being held in the Jackson County Jail on $500,000 bond. A first appearance is scheduled for Tuesday afternoon.

Earlier this week, 22-year-old Tiesha D. Anderson, of Collinsville, was also charged with concealment of a homicidal death in the case. She’s being held on $750,000 bond with her next court appearance set for Nov. 3.

Carbondale Police and Illinois State Police continue to investigate.
