William Frakes faces two Class X felony charges of child pornography of victims under the age of 13 depicted in sadistic manner, and Class 2 felony possessing child pornography photos of victims under the age of 13.

Frakes was arrested on the charges in July but had not yet had a preliminary hearing on the charges as he has sought to have Judge Don Sheafor recused from the case and today had a new attorney entered to represent him.

Frankes has remained in the Fayette County Jail since his July arrest, with bail set at $350,000.

If able to post bond he is prohibited from having contact with anyone under the age of 18 and is not to possess any electronic device or have access to any device that can access the internet. He is allowed supervised visits with his grandchildren.
