CENTRALIA — Sharon M. Kirk, 54, of Centralia passed away on October 24, 2016 at SSM St. Mary’s Hospital. She was born on September 17, 1962, the daughter of Jefferson E. and Winifred (Young) Brown Sr. of Chicago. She went on to marry Gregory Kirk on July 6, 2000 in North Chicago and he survives.
Survivors include husband, Gregory; step-daughter, Fiona Border of Chicago; grandchildren, Lyric and London Border; mother-in-law, Betty L. Trahan of Centralia; brothers, Donald Brown and wife Renee of Country Club Hills, Jefferson Brown of Chicago; sisters, Diane Brown, Jean Brown, Jeanette Brown, Claudia B. Harris, Gale Woods all of Chicago; nephews, Michael Jamal Woods, Michael A. Brown, Jr., Lavorine Harris, Mark Brown; nieces, Tiffany Jackson, Michelle Bailey, Karen Bailey, Stephanie Bailey, Janelle Brown, and Bre’niah Brown.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jefferson and Winifred Brown, Sr. and a brother, Michael A. Brown, Sr.
Sharon worked as a home healthcare provider. She was a fan of White Sox baseball and Chicago Bears football. Fishing, dancing, and shooting her pistol were things that she enjoyed doing in her spare time.
Per Mrs. Kirk’s final wishes, cremation rites will be accorded.
