CENTRALIA — Carolyn Sue Thomas, 72, of Centralia, passed away Friday, October 28, 2016 at SSM St. Marys Hospital in Centralia.
She was born August 13, 1944 in Centralia, daughter of Emil Henry Koch and Mildred Pauline (Cunningham) Koch. She married Ronald L. Thomas on April 16, 1965 and he preceded her in death on November 14, 2012.
She is survived by a son, Ronnie Thomas, Jr. and wife Jeannette of Junction City; a daughter, Melissa Sue Beal of Centralia; three grandchildren, Matthew Beal, Cristian Melton, and Gage Thomas; two brothers, Bill Koch and wife Flora of Centralia and Terry Koch and wife Debbie of Hoffman; two sisters, Donna Martin and husband Charlie of St. Peters, Mo., and Jackie Middleton of Centralia; three brothers-in-law, Charlie Thomas an wife Candy of Centralia, Mike Pryor of Centralia, and Richard Stamer of Centralia; four sisters-in-law, Barbara Lay and husband Gerald of Arkansas, Susie King of Centralia, Donna Sanders of Centralia, and Judy Schossler and husband Val of Centralia; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a sister, Sandy Stamer; three sisters-in-law, Beverly Jolliff, Janice Pryor and Patricia Jones; four brother-in-laws, John King, Earl Sanders, Paul Jolliff, and Darrell Jones; and two nephews, Jimmy Koch and Jeff Koch.
Sue enjoyed crossword puzzles. Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family and friends.
Per her wishes, Carolyn Sue Thomas will be cremated and a Celebration of Life service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, November 4, 2016, at the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home in Centralia with Pastor Ray Barnes officiating.
Visitation will be held from 12 p.m. – 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family and will be accepted at the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home in Centralia, which is assisting the family with arrangements.
