Richard “Dick” Hine

flag-clip-art-american-flag-wave-metalCENTRALIA — Richard “Dick” Hine, 73, of Centralia, passed away Sunday, October 30, 2016 at Centralia Manor.

He was born November 26, 1942, in Afton, New York, son of Richard G. Hine and Adele (Robst) Hine. He married Madeline (Wier) Bailey and they later divorced. He married Nancy (Nelms) Hine on December 30, 1989 and she survives in Centralia.

hine-obitIn addition to his wife of 27 years, he is also survived by a son, Jerry Hine and wife Denise of Centralia; two step-sons, Logan Patterson of Oklahoma and Stephen Patterson of Kansas City, Kansas; eight grandchildren, Michael Pflugmacher and wife Dani of Springfield, Dustin Hine of Mt. Vernon, Cody Johnson and wife Chelsea of Huey, Daniel Finley of Centralia, Jerry Hine, Jr. of Centralia, Gloria Patterson of Oklahoma, Bryan Patterson of Oklahoma, and April Patterson of Washington; and two great-grandchildren, Rayner Finley and Bryson Finley both of Centralia.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Rick Hine; step-son, Mike Patterson; brother, Butch Hine; mother-in-law, Dora Myers; and two brothers-in-law, Dale Nelms and Jack Nelms.

Richard served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Centralia Moose Lodge. He enjoyed watching football and NASCAR. His greatest enjoyment was spending time with his family and friends.

Graveside Services for Richard Hine will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Centralia with Pastor Claude Howell officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park.

Memorial donations may be made to the family and will be accepted at the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home in Centralia, which is assisting the Hine Family with arrangements.
