CENTRALIA — A 29-year-old Sandoval man is facing multiple charges in Marion County, after he was arrested Monday by Centralia police following a traffic stop.

Michael Deadmond has been formally charged in Marion County Court with felony possession of less than 5-grams of methamphetamine, for less than a gram of meth officers found in his pocket as he was being arrested.

He is also charged with misdemeanor resisting a peace officer for attempting to flee police on foot as he was being arrested, and obstructing identification for giving police a false name.

Deadmond was unable to successfully run from officers, however, as he twice tripped in his attempt. His effort to use another man’s identity after being arrested also failed, as a corrections officer at the Marion County Jail recognized him as he was being processed.
