ODIN — Richard Norman McCulloch, 63, of Odin, passed away Sunday, October 30, 2016 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Mo.
He was born June 11, 1953 in Skegness, England, son of Alan McCulloch of Danville, California and Margaret (Grundy) McCulloch of San Ramon, California. He married Tina Vowell and she survives in Odin.
In addition to his parents and wife, he is also survived by a brother, Derek McCulloch of San Roman, California; a sister, Jan Ostrander of San Ramon, California; two nieces, Shasta Ostrander and Sierra Ostrander; step-mother, Arlene McCulloch of Danville, California; three fur kids, cats, Cassie, Lucky and Scamper.
He was preceded in death by his son, Kevan McCulloch.
Richard served in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam. He worked at Kaskaskia College as a cCounselor and teacher for 7 years. Richard loved music of all different kinds. He played guitar, collected movies and CDs. He was a volunteer at the Gospel Lighthouse Food Pantry in Odin. Most of all he loved life, laughter, and spending time with friends.
Per his wishes, cremation rites will be accorded and private family services will be held at a later date.
Memorial donations may be made to the Gospel Lighthouse Food Pantry in Odin and will be accepted at the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home in Centralia who is assisting the McCulloch family with arrangements.
