Two women charged in connection with fatal Murphysboro shooting

JACKSON COUNTY — Two DeSoto women have now been charged in connection with a deadly shooting in Murphysboro.

According to authorities, 26-year-old Kaitlyn Youngberg, and 19-year-old Jacie Marble, have been charged with obstructing justice in relation to the fatal October shooting of 38-year-old Detrick Rogers.

Youngberg also faces a charge for aiding a fugitive, for allegedly driving to Decatur on October 31 and taking murder suspect Juwan Jackson a new cell phone and phone card. She is then alleged to have provided false information to police the next day.

Charges against Marble allege she hid shell casings from the shooting.

Both women are being held on $100,000 each.

Prosecutors have charged Jackson,with first degree murder and aggravated discharge of a firearm in connection to the October 24 shooting.
