Wanda Holtkamp-Beal

CENTRALIA — Wanda Holtkamp-Beal, 88, of Centralia passed away Sunday, November 13, 2016 at SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon.

wanda-holtkamp-beal-obit-pictureShe was born July 6, 1928 in Centralia, daughter of Marvin Branch and LaVera (Kratzner) Branch. She married Raymond Holtkamp and he preceded her in death in 1978. She married Claude Beal and he preceded her in death on January 11, 2016.

She is survived by six children, Mike Holtkamp and wife Karen of Rolla, Missouri, David Holtkamp and wife Sandy of Centralia, Linda Jackson and husband Robert of Irvington, Paul Holtkamp of Centralia, Jim Holtkamp and special friend Vicki Marlow of Centralia, and Donna Joy and husband Tom of Centralia; three step children, Carol Lambert of Memphis, Tennessee, Keith Beal of Memphis, Tennessee, and Phillip Beal and wife Theresa of Senatobia, Mississippi; twelve grandchildren, Terry Holtkamp and wife Robin, Dena Smart and husband Michael, Kris Serna, Suzan Tyberendt and husband Chris, Kevin Holtkamp, Valerie Pries and husband Eric, Doug Holtkamp, Kristen Stedelin and husband Joe, Travis Holtkamp, Jacob Holtkamp, and Abbey Holtkamp; two step grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren;, two step-great-grandchildren; sister, Marilyn Aevermann of Bowling Green, Kentucky; sister-in-law, Janet Branch of Tuscola; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband: Raymond Holtkamp; a granddaughter, Angela Holtkamp; a brother, Marvin “Jr.” Branch; a brother-in-law:, Ron Aevermann; and second husband: Claude Beal.

Wanda worked at Hollywood Candy Factory for four to five years and she then became a homemaker. She was a member of St. Marys Catholic Church in Centralia and a member of the Altar Sodality. She enjoyed crocheting and reading. Wanda’s greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family and friends.

Funeral Services for Wanda Holtkamp-Beal will be held at 11 a.m, Wednesday, November 16, 2016, at Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home in Centralia. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Centralia.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorial donations may be made to the Spina Bifida Association of Illinois and will be accepted at the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home in Centralia which is assisting the family with arrangements.
