CENTRALIA — Two men have been arrested in connection with an incident Tuesday night at Bryan Manor in Centralia that sent a facility employee to the hospital for treatment of head injuries.

According to Centralia police, two Centralia brothers, 18-year-old Trent Shafran, and 23-year-old Blake Shafran, turned themselves in Wednesday after officers located their father and told him they were both wanted for alleged aggravated battery.

Police say Bryan Manor surveillance enabled them to identify the brothers, one of whom admitted to carrying a Co2 pistol Tuesday night that he reportedly used to strike the 31-year-old victim on the head. The weapon, which was reportedly hidden after the incident, has since been recovered.

The victim reportedly told police he had been having problems with a co-worker who is the wife of one of the men. He said he was jumped by one of the two men while unlocking his vehicle in the parking lot at work and was punched several times before being struck in the head.

Police responded to a call from Bryan Manor reporting armed men in the parking lot. When officers arrived the suspects were already gone, but the victim was injured and sitting on a curb. He was taken by ambulance to SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital for treatment of injuries and was later released.

The Shafran brothers remain in the Marion County Jail awaiting the formal filing of Class 3 felony charges of aggravated battery in a public place and the setting of bail.
