JEFFERSON COUNTY — The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating two separate home invasions Tuesday.

According to reports, around 8:59 a.m. Tuesday, deputies responded to a home in the 10000 block of Nason Lane after a woman called saying she had been hit in the back of the head with a shotgun and held at gunpoint.

The suspects had already left the scene when deputies arrived. After further investigation, deputies located a weapon on Sparrow Lane.

Then around 11 a.m. Tuesday deputies received a call from the Centralia Police Department to assist with a robbery in the 21000 block of North Post Oak Lane in Walnut Hill.

After responding to an ad on Craigslist, a man was robbed at gunpoint by two men wearing masks and weilding baseball bats. The suspects reportedly took the man’s belongings and threw his car keys in a ditch.
