Tommy Jones is accused of taking spools of copper wire and tools from a work site in the 900 block of East Second. The items are valued in excess of $10,000.

According to reports, the owner of Arkay Construction became suspicious when he learned Jones might be involved in taking some stripped wire to a salvage yard and then didn’t show up to work the next day.

Police say Jones admitted under questioning that while he had planned to returned the tools to avoid being charged, he never did.
