CENTRALIA — Centralia Police have released the names of two men involved in a double shooting early Monday morning.

According to Chief Brian Atchison, it’s believed that 41-year-old Roemond Fox, of Salem, and 26-year-old Dominique Oatis, of Centralia, shot each other in the 600 block of Jackson.

Atchison says others were present at the time of the incident but they are not currently cooperating with the investigation.

One of the two men was taken by ambulance to SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital and the other was taken by private vehicle. Both, however, were later taken to St. Louis area hospitals for treatment and were ultimately released.

According to Centralia police, the investigation is ongoing but no other suspects are being sought at this time.

Atchison asks anyone with information regarding this incident to please come forward as cases such as these are difficult to solve without the public’s help.
