MARION COUNTY — A Personal Injury Crash occurred Wednesday around Noon in Marion County.

According to reports, 80-year-old Ramona M. Oberlohr of Louisville was traveling south on IL Route 37 approaching the intersection at Route 161 when 32-year-old, Nancy M. Kollak of Fairfield was heading west approaching the intersection.

Kollak came to a complete stop before proceeding into the intersection.

Oberlohr continued south bound, ran the stop sign and T-boned Kollak on the passenger side.

Both vehicles spun around the intersection and Kollak’s vehicle left the roadway and struck a utility pole causing it to snap and the overhanging flashing red light to drop to the roadway.

Marion County EMS transported Oberlohr to Salem Township Hospital and Kollak as well as a 41-year-old passenger in her vehicle, Jason S. Carter of Kell, were transported to St. Mary’s Centralia Hospital for treatment of injuries. Carter was later air lifted to St. Louis University Hospital.

Oberlohr was cited for disobeying a traffic control device.
