JEFFERSON COUNTY — A 29-year-old Alabama woman pleaded guilty Tuesday in Jefferson County Court to soliciting a child to distribute nude photos over the internet.

Ashley M. Parker entered a plea to Class 4 felony unlawful grooming, and was sentenced to one year in prison.

In addition to the one-year prison sentence, Parker will have to register as a sex offender, and was ordered to pay court costs and restitution and was given credit for 81 days served in the county jail.

Restitution will go toward reimbursing the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office for traveling to Alabama where they arrested Parker and brought her to Jefferson County.
