MARION COUNTY — Icy roads are being blamed for a one-vehicle crash around 10:30 Sunday night on Route 161 extension in rural Iuka that left two Cisne men injured.

According to Kell Fire Chief Lonnie McDaneld, 50-year-old David Shelton hit an icy spot on the roadway that sent his SUV off the icy roadway and down a 30-foot ravine before it came to a stop.

Both Shelton and his 30-year-old passenger Brandon Wright were able to exit the vehicle on their own but they were taken by ambulance to Salem Township Hospital for treatment of injuries.
