CENTRALIA — There were no injuries Monday morning when a car reportedly struck a Raccoon Grade School bus in the rear as the bus was slowing to pick up students on Route 161 between Racetrack and Baker Roads.

The crash happened around 7:25 a.m. as students were being picked up for school. Only four students were on the bus at the time. They were ultimately moved to another bus that completed the route.

It’s unclear if ice played a role in the crash. Illinois State Police are handling the incident.
