KINMUNDY — Two Cleveland, Ohio men were injured in a crash on Interstate 57 Sunday night near the Kinmundy interchange.

A box truck driven by 55-year-old Horacio Ortuno skidded on the snow-covered roadway just after 7 p.m. before going off the right side of the roadway and overturning in a ditch. The vehicle came to rest upright.

Police say Ortuno and his 29-year-old passenger Christopher Ortuno, also of Cleveland, were injured in the crash and were treated at Salem Township Hospital.

Horacio Ortuno was cited for driving too fast for conditions, while Christopher Ortuno was cited for not wearing a seat belt.

There were numerous crashes and vehicles off the road Sunday due to ice and snow-covered roadways.
