MARION COUNTY — A 23-year-old Salem man received multiple citations Saturday morning after a high-speed pursuit with sheriff’s deputies resulted in his hospitalization when his vehicle crashed.

Around 2:15 a.m. Saturday, Dylan Jennings reportedly was driving eastbound at more than 80 miles per hour on Red Stripe Road with a Marion County Sheriff’s deputy in pursuit.

The deputy had reportedly attempted to make a traffic stop on Jennings’ vehicle; however, Jennings reportedly failed to stop and fled, ultimately losing control of his vehicle at the intersection of Red Stripe and Odin roads where he struck a utility pole and came to a stop in the roadside ditch.

Jennings was taken to the Salem Township Hospital for treatment.

He was cited for alleged driving under the influence of drugs, aggravated fleeing, speeding, disregarding a stop sign, and lane control violations.
