MARION COUNTY — A 21-year-old rural Iuka man remains in custody after he was arrested Saturday after fleeing on foot from his home after a Marion County Sheriff’s deputy arrived at the home and asked to speak with him.

Reese Taylor reportedly ran a short distance from the front door of the home before giving up and laying on the ground as the deputy ordered.

Taylor was wanted on Mason County warrants for methamphetamine conspiracy and possession of meth precursor as well as an Illinois Department of Corrections warrant. Bail on the Mason County warrants was set at $100,000 each.

Taylor was taken to the Marion County Jail for resisting arrest and on the two outstanding Mason County warrants.
