WASHINGTON COUNTY — A 33-year-old Nashville woman and two 5-year-old passengers were airlifted to a regional medical facility for treatment of injuries they suffered in a single-car crash Tuesday morning on Illinois Route 15.

According to Illinois State Police, around 7:19 a.m., Tuesday, Stephannie L. Inman, was driving a 2002 Cadillac westbound on Illinois Route 15 near County Highway 11 when just west of Nashville the vehicle left the right side of the roadway.

Inman over corrected, the car entered back onto the highway, where Inman lost control. The Cadillac traveled off the left side of the roadway and struck a guardrail face with the passenger’s side of the vehicle.

The 5-year-old male passenger was ejected from the Cadillac, which continued to travel off the left side of the roadway before striking a tree and coming to final rest.

Inman has been cited for failure to wear a seat belt and two counts failing to secure a child under the age of 8.
