PANA — An 86-year-old Pana man was found dead early Tuesday morning after neighbors called 911 to report his house was on fire and he was believed to be home.

According to Pana police, George Rissler was pronounced dead at the scene. Pana Fire, EMS and Ambulance were dispatched to the home and upon their arrival they found the structure fully involved.

Search crews on the two ends of the home found nothing. But as firefighters brought the blaze under control a search was conducted of the center portion of the home where firefighters found the Rissler.

An autopsy was scheduled for Wednesday in Bloomington.
