Crocker named as Sesser-Valier Distinguished Alumni

Franklin County Board Chairman Randall Crocker of Sesser has been chosen by the Sesser-Valier Community Unit School District #196 Board of Education as this year’s Distinguished Alumni Award.

The award – established in 2000 – honors alumni of Goode Barren Township High School, Valier High School and Sesser-Valier High School.

Crocker, who has served on the County Board since 2000, has served the community over the years as a businessman and on various community, government and educational boards in southern Illinois.

Crocker will receive the Distinguished Alumni Award at the Sesser-Valier High School graduation later this month. He will also be publicly honored on the Sesser-Valier High School Wall of Fame at the school. That’s according to an article published recently by the Benton News.
