MOUNT VERNON — The Mt. Vernon Police Department and Jefferson County Crimestoppers are looking for the public’s help in identifying three individuals believed to have battered and robbed a man at gunpoint last week.

According to reports, around 9:34 p.m. Wednesday, May 2, MVPD the victim was reportedly walking to Huck’s near 2nd Street and was approached by three white males walking towards him.

The males approached him and asked him for money. He told them he didn’t have any money and continued walking. The males followed the victim, grabbed him, took his wallet and roughed him up.

The males were described as two white males in their 20s and one male in his 40s. All three were around 6-feet tall and all had dark hair. The older male was wearing a bright orange or red T-shirt and a hat.

Jefferson County Crime Stoppers is asking for your help in identifying the three offenders.
