JEFFERSON COUNTY — A 26-year-old Centralia man has been charged in Jefferson County court with felony burglary of a property earlier this week in Woodlawn.

Bail was set Thursday at $40,000 for Jakob S. Jones. Jones was arrested Tuesday for the burglary that allegedly occurred on or around May 7, in the 3900 block of East Grand in Woodlawn.

He was advised in court Thursday that if he posts bond and is released from the Jefferson County Jail that he could be tried in absentia if he fails to appear at trial.

Jones remains in custody and is next scheduled to appear in court June 5 for a first appearance with his court appointed attorney.
