Michael K. “Pickle Head” Wethington

CENTRALIA — Michael K. “Pickle Head” Wethington, 60, of Centralia, passed away Saturday, May 12, 2018, at his home.

He was born February 21, 1958, in Troy, Missouri, son of Richard L. Wethington and Helen Ann (Dickinson) Wethington.

He is survived by his father, Richard L. Wethington of Centralia; two sisters and a brother: Marsha Shepard of Oglesby, Richard B. Wethington and wife Debbie of Centralia, and Linda Moore of Centralia; two nieces and three nephews: Jennifer Heradia and husband Hugo of Spring Valley, IL, Butch Shepard and wife Missy of Oglesby, Chris Wethington of Centralia, John Wethington and wife AshLee of Centralia and Nicole Moore of Rantoul; 10 great nieces and nephews; numerous friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother and several aunts and uncles.

Mike worked at World Color Press for many years and he also worked in the Insurance Industry. He was a member of the Centralia Moose Lodge 1219 and Sons of the American Legion Post 446 for 10 years. Mike enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family and friends.

Funeral services for Mike Wethington will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 17, 2018, at the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home in Centralia. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Centralia.

Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 16, 2018, at the funeral home.

Memorial Donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association and will be accepted at the funeral home. Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home in Centralia is honored to be of service to the Wethington family.
