Frank V. Falcone was formally charged Friday in Jefferson County court with Class X felony delivery of between 15 and 100 grams of meth.

According to Assistant Mt. Vernon Police Chief Trent Page, just before 10 p.m. Wednesday, Mt. Vernon Police officers conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle in which Falcone was a passenger.

Officers reportedly located meth outside the passenger window where Falcone was seated and a check revealed his was on parole from the Illinois Department of Corrections.

A search of Falcone and the area of the car where he had been seated reportedly revealed additional meth, a scale, and currency. Approximately 35 grams of meth was seized in the arrest.

Falcone was taken into custody and transported to the Jefferson County Jail. MVPD contacted IDOC to alert them to Falcone’s arrest. Page says they responded by issuing a no-bond warrant for Falcone.
