FAYETTE COUNTY — A 28-year-old Brownstown man was killed Saturday night in a single-vehicle pickup truck crash in Fayette County.

According to Illinois State Police, around 5:42 p.m. Saturday, Craig Frailey was traveling eastbound on Route 40 near Fayette County Road 1050 E between Vandalia and Bluff City when he began to leave the right side of the roadway into a grassy ditch.

Frailey’s truck continued off the roadway down an embankment where slid sideways and then rolled over several times.

Frailey was taken to the Fayette County Hospital in Vandalia, where he was pronounced dead.

Two passengers, 23-year-old Brittany Hall of Ramsey and 32-year-old Ryan Ward of Brownstown were also taken to the Fayette County Hospital for treatment of injuries.
