CENTRALIA — Shirley Bell, 88, of Centralia, passed away Saturday, February 22, 2020, at Cedarhurst of Breese.
She was born May 10, 1931, in Centralia, the daughter of Elmer Kerr and Lucille (Custis) Kerr. She married Perry Bell, Jr., on December 11, 1955, in Georgia and he preceded her in death on December 6, 2002.
Shirley is survived by her daughter Sara Harting and husband Jim of Centralia, a grandson: Anthony Harting and wife Caitlin of Centralia, two great-granddaughters McKinley and Audrey, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Shirley was a graduate of Centralia Township High School. She worked at Illinois Bell. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Centralia. She enjoyed playing BINGO. Shirley cherished the time she spent with her family and friends.
Funeral services for Shirley Bell will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 26, 2020, at the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home with Brother Claude Howell officiating.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Centralia.
