CENTRALIA — Desiree Ann Marshall, 63, of Centralia, passed away Wednesday, May 20, 2020, at her home.
In addition to her mother, May Hill of North Carolina, Desiree is also survived by her ten children: Dwane Brown and wife Chrissy of Springfield, Alicia Hoover and husband Michael of Odin, Charles Berger of Centralia, Toby Berger of Oklahoma, Steven Berger and partner Travis Pitts of Salem, Tabathia Erwin of Centralia, Misty Koch and husband John of Centralia, Michelle Wilson of Centralia, Amanda Eckert and partner Gina of Odin, and Elizabeth Marshall of Arlington, Texas; 23 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; a brother: Mike Holt and wife Helen of North Carolina; a sister: Wanda Church of North Carolina; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, husband and a granddaughter: Jayde.
Desiree worked as a CNA at Odin Healthcare Center for 25 plus years. She enjoyed working on puzzles and collecting frog figurines. Most of all, Desiree cherished the time she spent with her grandkids and family gatherings.
Per Desiree’s wishes, cremation rites will be accorded and no public services will be held. In honor of Desiree, memorial donations may be made to the donor’s choice and will be accepted at the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home and Cremation Services at 235 North Sycamore Street Centralia, Illinois 62801, 618-532-3523, who is honored to be of service to the Marshall family.
