CENTRALIA — Judith “Judy” McIntire, 74, of Centralia, passed away Saturday, July 4, 2020, at her home.
She was born on January 24, 1946, in Centralia, the daughter of Berthal Lance and Dorine (Puffer) Lance.
Judy is survived by her two children: Shawn Reichenbach of Centralia and Angela Allen of Centralia; six grandchildren: Corlin Reichenbach, Brandon Allen, Josie Reichenbach, Jace Zimmerman, Cole Tucker, Dylon Zimmerman; one great-grandchild: John Beck-Kalert; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Steve and a grandson: Nicholas Joel Allen; three brothers: Jerry Lance, Jack Lance, Dwain Lance, and Ed Lance; two sisters: Marg Harper, and Karen Maurer.
Judy enjoyed playing golf and watching the Chicago Bears Football Team with her husband Steve. She was also an avid dog lover and loved to garden. Judy worked for Centralia House Restaurant and Jerry’s 101 Club for many years. She cherished the time she spent with her grandkids, family and friends. Judy lived her life to the fullest and always told her family “I love you to the moon and back.”
Per Judy’s wishes, cremation rites will be accorded and a private Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date with burial to follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Centralia.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Centralia Humane Society and will be accepted at the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home and Cremation Services at 235 North Sycamore Street Centralia, Illinois 62801, 618-532-3523, who is honored to be of service to the McIntire family.
