MOUNT VERNON — The Mt. Vernon Police Department arrested on Wednesday arrested the managers of a storage unit facility on Veterans Memorial Drive in connection with burglaries of units on the property.

According to MVPD, members of the Mt Vernon Police Department Detective Division applied for and received search warrants for the U-Store Storage Facility at 1135 Veterans Memorial Drive in Mt Vernon.

The detectives secured seven search warrants for storage areas and one search warrant for a residential living area on the property.

The search warrants were in connection with ongoing burglary investigations that occurred on the property.

As a result of the search warrants, the detectives were able to locate stolen property. U-Store managers, David and Lynna Bauer, were taken into custody by detectives. Both reside on the property.

David W Bauer, 57, was incarcerated in the Jefferson County Justice Center on a charge of Possession of Stolen Property. Bond is to be set.

Lynna A Bauer, 52, was incarcerated in the Jefferson County Justice Center on charges of Possession of Stolen Property and Possession of Methamphetamine. Bond is to be set.

This is an on-going investigation with additional charges likely.
