FARINA — Martha A. VanSant, 93, of Farina, Illinois passed away November 2, 2020, at the Lutheran Care Center in Altamont.
Martha was well known as a saleslady for Avon for 40 plus years in the local area. She loved to crochet, embroidery and sewing. She was also a faithful member of Frieden’s United Church of Christ in Farina.
She married Edward F. VanSant, December 15, 1951, in Hillsboro, IL and he survives in Farina, along with her sons, John Storm of Oregon, Eddie VanSant and wife Janet of Farina, IL, and Ted VanSant and wife Kathy of Watson. Also her grandchildren, Christopher, Gina, Brice, Sally, Maria, Alyssa and Kendra. She was also blessed with several great-grandchildren.
Also left to mourn her passing is her brother Jimmy Cole and wife Ruedee Mas of Apple Valley, LA, California.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Myra, Betty and Sally.
The family invite friends to gather with them at 11:00 am Saturday at the Farina Cemetery for graveside services, officiated by Pastor Jerry Gesell. Due to the health concerns at this time, you will be encouraged to wear a mask and respect social distancing.
