Billie Garden

IUKA — Billie Garden, 67, formerly of Iuka, IL passed away March 29, 2021, at Deaconess Midtown Hospital, Evansville, IN with her daughter and family members by her side.

Born November 10, 1953, in Salem, she was the daughter of Archie and Maxine (Brubaker) Clifton. They preceded her in death.

Billie worked as the Director of Big Brothers-Big Sisters of Marion County from 1982-1987. In 1987, she began working as a sales representative for Radiac Abrasives in Salem.

She was married to Scott Garden with two children born to this union; Christie (George) Vandeloo of Bartelso, IL and Cameron Garden who preceded her in death. Also left to mourn her passing is a granddaughter, Ava Vandeloo of Bartelso.

She is also survived by her siblings Doug Clifton and wife DeeDee of Dyersburg, TN, Debra Sumner of Plainfield, IL and Tracey Lewis of Bonita Springs, FL along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Saturday at the Sutherland – Rankin Funeral Home with burial to follow at Iuka Cemetery, Iuka, IL. Visiting hours will be from 10 am until the service hour. It is important to wear masks and respect social distancing in accordance with the CDC and State of Illinois Phase 4 Revitalization with no more than 50 visitors in the facility at a time.
