CENTRALIA — On Tuesday, Centralia police responded to a report of a burglary in progress in the 300 block of South Elm Street where they took four juveniles into custody.

According to Chief Dodson, the resident of the home called in a report that her security cameras alerted her phone and showed four people kick in the door of her home. Police arrived to find all four individuals were still in the home and included two female juveniles and two male juveniles.

Dodson says it’s believed the four had broken into the same home on Monday and had returned to finish the job.

He said the two juveniles reside at One Hope United, one of the male juveniles is local and the other male juvenile was a runaway from Effingham who had an outstanding warrant for his arrest.
