CENTRALIA — James “Jim” L. Rippy, 71, of Centralia, passed away Thursday, April 22, 2021.
Jim was born April 29, 1949, in Sterling, IL, the son of Clarence “Bud” Rippy and Imogene (Croger) McNitt.
Jim is survived by one daughter: Carolyn Wilson and husband Kenneth of Rockford, IL; one son: James N. Rippy of Rice Lake, WI; one grandson: Steven Wilson of Rockford, IL; three brothers: Bob Rippy and Donna of Junction City, IL, Holly Rippy and wife Sheila of Arizona, and Walter Rippy of Sterling, IL; a sister Karlyn Mosley and husband James of Alma, IL.; also surviving is many nieces, nephews, and special friend: Judy Batson of Centralia.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents: Clarence “Bud” Rippy and Imogene McNitt; and one brother: Bruce Rippy.
Jim enjoyed watching the Chicago Bears, and playing his guitar. Jim will be missed by all who knew him. He cherished the time he spent with his family, friends and four-legged companions.
Funeral Services for James “Jim” L. Rippy will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 30, 2021, at the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home in Centralia. Burial will follow in Peaceful Valley Cemetery in Odin.
A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Friday, April 30, 2021, at the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home in Centralia.
