JEFFERSON COUNTY — Bail has been set at $100,000 for a 41-year-old Mt. Vernon man accused in Jefferson County Court of a child pornography offense.

Brandon F. Page was formally charged Wednesday with Class X felony possession of child pornography depicting a victim under the age of 13.

Probable cause was found in court Wednesday morning to detain Page. He was advised of the charge against him, possible sentencing if convicted and a preliminary hearing was scheduled for August 25 along with a first appearance with a court-appointed public defender.
