CENTRALIA — Reba May Stover, 96, of Centralia passed away Friday, October 22, 2021, in Centralia with her family by her side.
She was born November 18, 1924, in Centralia, the daughter of Herbert and Orpha (Meador) Lowery. She married Dean Stover on December 18, 1939, in Mt. Vernon and he preceded her in death on December 23, 1993, after 54 years of marriage.
Reba is survived by her five children: Barbara Luttrell and husband Michael Ennis of New Smyrna Beach, FL, Jack Stover and wife Linda of Southaven, MS, Joann Rahm and husband Gerald of Centralia, David Stover and wife Julie of Centralia, and Renea Starr and husband Colin of Centralia; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Herbert and Orpha Lowery, her husband Dean Stover, two sisters: Beulah Glenn and Mable Estock, two brothers: Ray Lowery and Orville Lowery, and one great-grandson Austin Starr.
Reba enjoyed playing cards and bingo. She was employed at St. Mary’s Hospital for 20 years. Upon retirement, she was a member of the St. Mary’s Auxiliary for 19 years. She loved her two dogs: Brigitte and Maggie. She was a lifetime member of the V.F.W. Post 2055.
Graveside services for Reba Stover will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, October 30, 2021, at the Elmwood Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. to 1:50 p.m. Saturday, October 30, 2021, at the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home.
