WASHINGTON COUNTY — Two people are in the Washington County Jail in connection with a residential burglary last month near Lively Grove.

According to Washington County Sheriff’s Detective Tommy Moss, 36-year-old Steven J. Kuklinski, and 26-year-old Rachel E. Pisarski, both of Belleville, were arrested following an extensive investigation into a December 9, 2015 residential burglary in which jewelry and cash were allegedly taken.

Kuklinski is charged with Residential Burglary and Theft Over $10,000. His bail is set at $100,000.Pisarski is charged with Conspiracy. Her bail is set at $30,000.

Assisting with the investigation were St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office, Clinton County Sheriff’s Office, New Baden Police Department, Trenton Police Department and the Smithton Police Department.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office reached out to the public shortly after the burglary was reported, asking for help identifying a man and woman caught on video surveillance at the home.
