As of Monday, March 28, Illinois 127 will be intermittently restricted to one lane between Keyesport Road and Sale Barn Road in Bond County, weather permitting.

This work will take place daily between the hours of 6 a.m. and 8:30 p.m., and is necessary to construct a new asphalt overlay on the route. Work is expected to be completed by September.

Then starting Wednesday, March 30, U.S. 50 will be reduced to one lane at Brubaker Creek Bridge just east of Salem in Marion County, during daylight hours, weather permitting.

Intermittent daylight lane closures will be utilized until temporary traffic signals are installed at that location.

Once the signals are installed, U.S. 50 will be reduced to one lane and two-way traffic will be maintained through the area via the temporary signals.

The work is required in order to replace the existing bridge structure and is expected to be completed by mid-September.

Motorists at both locations are urged to use caution, obey all warning signs and allow extra time when traveling through the work zones.
