CARBONDALE — A fourth suspect has been named in the Easter weekend shooting at a Carbondale house party that claimed the life of former Centralia resident Tim Beaty as he slept in his nearby home in Carbondale.
Carbondale police say a nationwide arrest warrant has been issued for 21-year-old David Holmes, of Carbondale, for aggravated discharge of a firearm and reckless discharge of a firearm in connection with the early Sunday morning incident that left 41-year-old Beaty dead from a gunshot wound, and another person hospitalized for a gunshot wound.
Bail for Holmes has been set at $750,000. He is also wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant for aggravated battery with a firearm stemming from a shooting incident Tuesday at a Carbondale apartment complex that left one person injured.
Two other suspects, Dwayne J. Dunn and John Ingram, both 21-years-old and from St. Louis, are in custody in connection with the shooting.
A third man, 21-year-old Travis Tyler remains at large.
Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Holmes is encouraged to contact the Carbondale Police Department at 618-457-3200. Holmes should be treated as Armed and Dangerous. The investigation into the two incidents are continuing.
