JACKSON COUNTY — One of three suspects in an Easter weekend shooting in Carbondale has turned himself in to authorities.

According to Jackson County authorities, 21-year-old John F. Ingram surrendered at the Jackson County Jail Thursday night.

Ingram, a Southeast Missouri University student from St. Louis is charged with aggravated battery with a firearm and aggravated discharge of a firearm. His bail has been set at $1 million.

Authorities say Ingram, along with 21-year-old Travis T. Tyler, of Hazelwood, Missouri, fired a gun at a person during a party in Carbondale early Sunday morning. One man, identified as Nehemiah Greenlee, was injured. He was taken to Memorial Hospital of Carbondale and then transferred to a St. Louis hospital for treatment.

Officers later located a second man, 41-year-old Timothy Beaty, formerly of Centralia, was found unresponsive in his nearby Carbondale home. He was taken to Memorial Hospital of Carbondale where he was pronounced dead. Investigators say Beaty was struck by a stray bullet while inside his home.

Tyler remains at large. Ingram will appear in Jackson County court Monday afternoon.

A third man, 21-year-old Dwayne J. Dunn, of St. Louis, has also been arrested and charged with reckless discharge of a firearm in connection with the shooting. Bail for Dunn has been set at $500,000.

Ingram, Tyler, and Dunn are all students at SEMO and have been placed on interim suspension pending the completion of the criminal investigation.
