JEFFERSON COUNTY — The Illinois Department of Transportation is alerting motorists there will be a lane reduction starting Monday, April 25, on Interstate 57 near Dix so a contractor can start patching operations followed by milling and resurfacing the existing roadway.

The affected area will run from milepost 101 to 106. You should slow down and watch out for equipment and workers in the
work zone.

You can expect minor delays and may want to consider taking another route to your destination.
