CENTRALIA — Centralia Fire Protection District firefighters responded around 8 a.m. Sunday to an a report of a fire at an abandoned home in the 1800 block of Ross Road.

A neighbor spotted the fire and called it in. Firefighters remained on the scene until approximately 11:30 a.m. The home, however, burned to the ground.

As the home is believed to have been abandoned for decades, the fire is considered suspicious and the State Fire Marshal’s Office has been called to investigate.

No cause of the fire has been determined. There were no utilities to the home.

No injuries were reported.
