Illinois State Police say Dracy “Clint” Pendleton was last seen around 9:15 Monday morning wearing a black shirt, camouflage pants and boots.
Pendleton has shaved his beard and trimmed his hair, and has sustained a possible gunshot wound to his neck in the exchange of gunfire Saturday night with Mahomet Police Officer Jeremy Scharlow in Champaign County.
Pendleton has also been reported as having a prior unrelated knee injury that would possibly cause him to walk with a limp.
Officials are seeking a peaceful resolution to this situation and hope Pendleton will turn himself in without incident.
Anyone with information should call Illinois State Police at 542-1483 or call 911.
Meanwhile, the National Forest Service has closed the Lusk Creek Wilderness Area in the Shawnee National Forest allowing only investigators and firefighters into the area to search for Pendleton.
