CLINTON COUNTY — A 24-year-old Trenton woman was sentenced Wednesday in Clinton County Court to 11-years in the Illinois Department of Corrections after she pleaded guilty to multiple meth-related charges.
Amber Barker was originally charged in July 2015 with Class X felony aggravated manufacture of less than 15 grams of methamphetamine with a child present, and two counts Class X manufacture of between 400 and 900 grams of meth, which were dismissed in exchange for her guilty plea.
Barker pleaded guilty to Class X felony possession of between 400 and 900 grams of meth, to which she was sentenced to 11-years in prison, Class 2 felony possession of meth manufacturing material, for which she was sentenced to 7-years to be served concurrent, and Class 2 felony meth-related child endangerment, for which she was also sentenced to 7-years concurrent.
In addition to her prison sentence, Barker was ordered to pay a $10,000 drug enforcement fee, $5,000 of which was paid previously and the other $5,000 was paid today with her bond.
