Jakob Goodman was reportedly wearing only his boxer shorts when at the Salem MotoMart, the owner of a 1973 Chevy Nova caught Goodman in the classic muscle car. Shortly after the man got him out of the car, however, Goodman reportedly took off the boxer shorts and left the scene in the Cadillac that reportedly belongs to his mother.

When Salem police located Goodman, he allegedly refused to stop, taking officers through a slow, but winding chase through town, but once it reached the country the speeds increased upwards to approximately 100 miles per hour.

Marion County sheriff’s deputies had joined the chase, and after Goodman drove down a dead-end road near Antioch Cemetery, they were able to arrest him without further incident.

Goodman was taken to the Marion County Jail for alleged possession of stolen property, attempted theft of a vehicle, fleeing and eluding police, aggravated fleeing, disorderly conduct, driving while license suspended. He has also been issued multiple traffic citations.

Goodman had just been released from the Marion County Jail earlier that day after posting $150 bond on a misdemeanor charge of criminal damage to property.

He was arrested in that case after he allegedly broke out a window of a Salem residence Wednesday morning.
