MOUNT VERNON — The Mt. Vernon Police Department/Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office High Risk Team executed a search warrant Friday morning at a Mt. Vernon residence, resulting in the arrests of three individuals on multiple drug-related charges.

The search warrant for 405 N 16th St in Mt. Vernon was obtained following investigations by the MVPD/JCSO Narcotics Division and resulted in the alleged discovery of quantities of crystal methamphetamine, cocaine, cannabis, and drug paraphernalia at the residence.

Authorities subsequently arrested 39-year-old Miranda Phillips for alleged Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Cannabis, Possession of a Schedule I or II Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

A second subject, 45-year-old Scott Smith was arrested for alleged Possession of a Schedule I or II Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver, Possession of Cannabis, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

And 40-year-old Kendrick Vaughn was arrested for alleged Possession of a Schedule I or II Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver, Possession of Cannabis, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

All three subjects were taken to the Jefferson County Jail. Vaughn posted bond and was released, Phillips and Smith remain in custody.
