SOUTHERN ILLINOIS — Bomb threats Sunday interrupted business Sunday for two Southern Illinois companies.

Employees and customers were evacuated Sunday night from the Johnston City McDonalds after a bomb threat was called in to the fast food restaurant.

Johnston City Police searched the area with bomb sniffing dogs and the restaurant was reopened for business around 9:30 p.m.

Police say they are trying to track the phone number of the person who called in the threat.

Earlier Sunday a bomb threat forced the evacuation of employees and customers of the Marion Sears store.

Police with bomb sniffing dogs did not find anything at the store in the Illinois Star Centre Mall in Marion. The evacuation of the store was made around 3 p.m. Sunday.
