MARION COUNTY — A 29-year-old Alma woman was found in criminal contempt of court today in Marion County, after Chief Judge Michael McHaney repeatedly warned her against using profanity and she allegedly continued.

Nicole Dulaney was sentenced to 30- days in the Marion County Jail with no day-for-day credit. She had been in court for  a hearing on a Class 4 felony possession of a controlled substance case, in which the state was seeking to increase her bail  due to testing positive for controlled substances, a violation of her bond conditions.

After the court made its ruling to increase Dulaney’s bail to $50,000, she allegedly began using profanities, and despite warnings from McHaney would not stop. She was taken info custody and a criminal contempt file was opened against her.

The original case remains set for a June 23 pre-trial conference.
